Pure Silver "Wealth & Surplus" Pendant

This gourd-shaped pendant integrates auspicious meanings and intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship.

The outer hollow gourd is derived from Guo Meihua’s auspicious paper-cuts, and the inner gourd adopts lacquer mother-of-pearl inlay.

Butterflies and peonies stand for continuous blessings; two fish and peony symbolize prosperity.

 Gourd shares the same pronunciation with “fortune and wealth” in Chinese. Its shape means gathering wealth, and vines imply thriving offspring. Rotating it stands for good luck coming.

 Designed by a Taiyuan Master of Arts and Crafts, and guided by Guo Meihua, a provincial inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, this “Wealth and Surplus” pendant is a rare work with two masters and two intangible cultural heritages.
